реконструкторы бывают разные, а после многого пива и подавно :)
Реально вес самого тяжелого двуручного меча, который я смог найти - около 7,5 килограмм. Сколько весят те, в витринах, я не знаю.

may be you are talking about completely another thing!
In 16-17th centuries Polish hussars except saber, spear, nadjaks(sharp hamers), couple of pistols, possibly shield and bow had special sword called "concerz". If to describe, it looked like a rapier but about 2 meter long. The exemplar, I've seen at a photo in "Husaria Polska" had ( at the photo) length of 18 sm, but only 1 sm for hand. How large is your hand? This concerz was at least 180 sm.
It was carried in a scabbard on the saddle, from the inner side of the leg ( in different sources left or right -it doesn't matter).
The main tactik of hussars was charging knee-to-knee, and after first stike, when comrades have already broken their spears (they were hollow for lightness), they took off conzerzes in 3 movements. And in next strike used them like spears.
This sword could be used only by horseman, contrary to two-handed swords and was not so widespread.

Ja nikogo ne prizyvaju ispol'zovat' moi terminy "klejmora" i "klejmor" - hotja soglasites', eto snjalo by neskol'ko 4isto klassifikacionnyh problem. V konce koncov, my ne objazany verit' dikim skottam, 4to claymore - eto vsegda odno i to zhe, nezavisimo ot perioda ;)

"Kon4ar" - takoe nazvanie dlja etogo klinka ja vstrechal po-russki. Evropejskij analog - estoc (fr.) / tuck (eng.) / panzerstecker (ger.) Ja videl foto v onlajne, klinok kuda blizhe k shpage, nezheli k me4u.
